Surgery

Whether minor or major, all surgeries are handled with the utmost respect and concern. We utilize the most advanced technology available for all aspects of your pet’s surgical experience, including state-of-the-art anesthesia, comprehensive monitoring, and modern surgical equipment. Whether they visit us for a routine procedure or an emergency surgery, you can count on a safe and comfortable surgical journey for your pet.

We regularly perform many types of surgeries, including:

  • Soft tissue surgery
  • Spays and neuters
  • Abscess & Wound Repairs
  • Bladder surgery
  • Eye & Ear Surgeries
  • Gastrointestinal procedures
  • Mass removals
  • Orthopedic repairs (by a board certified Veterinary Surgeon)

Anesthesia

Before surgery, we perform a pre-surgical blood screen. We use those test results, along with your pet’s anesthetic history, breed, preexisting conditions and age, to create an individualized anesthesia protocol. When warranted, we can schedule a board certified Veterinary Anesthesiologist to manage your pet’s anesthesia during surgery.

Post-Op Care & Follow-Up

Following surgery, all patients are kept warm and comfortable and are closely monitored. An appropriate course of Pain Medication is administered based on the nature of the procedure.  When your pet is discharged, we’ll provide detailed guidelines on home care and are always available post-operatively for questions or concerns. We also offer complimentary follow-up exams following most surgical procedures just for that added peace of mind that your pet is recovering as expected.
