Dr. Laura, DVM

I spent most of my childhood on the back of a horse on the East Coast. Between a childhood in Georgia, high school in Maryland, and undergrad in New Hampshire I have seen most of what it has to offer. During those years I became an avid horsewoman, competing my ex-racehorse “Bubba” in three-day events.

Danika

Hi! I’m Danika. I’m a Veterinary Assistant at Mountain Parks Veterinary Hospital. I’ve lived in Colorado my entire life. I’ve had many animals in my lifetime, and I won’t be stopping! I chose to work in this field because I’ve been dreaming of it since I was little. The main reason is that I want to help make a difference in animals’ lives, and Mountain Parks is one of the best places I could ever ask for to do so. When I’m not working, I love to spend time with friends and family, go out or stay in, listen to music, and go on an occasional hike!

Veronique

Véronique (“V”) grew up in Antwerp, Belgium, and has called Colorado home for the past 10 years. Her love of animals began early, but her dog Simba, a Pomeranian, inspired her to turn that passion into a career. She began working with animals in 2009 in dog daycare and boarding, later became a certified dog groomer, and transitioned into veterinary medicine after moving to Colorado in 2016. Starting as a veterinary assistant and receptionist, V moved into veterinary practice management in 2018, where she discovered that she is just as passionate about supporting the people who care for pets as she is about caring for the pets themselves. Outside of work, V enjoys hiking, yoga, and live music. She is a devoted Pomeranian and cat lover and has a lifelong fascination with wolves and their important role in nature. For the record, she remains convinced that Little Red Riding Hood was not entirely truthful about her side of the story. 😊

In Memorium
Paula

On July 12, 2020, the Mountain Parks Veterinary Hospital family suffered a devastating tragedy. Our lead technician and friend, Paula, died in an automobile accident. Paula was a caring, loving person and an absolute joy to be around. She was a shining star whose light was extinguished too soon. Her absence is deeply felt. She may be gone but she lives in our hearts and minds. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
